We either work safely or we don’t work at all. At Tata Steel the safety of employees and local residents is paramount.
We continuously make every effort to provide a safe and healthy working environment. Nothing is more important to us than having our employees go home healthy after a day’s work. Our target is zero accidents. We aim to improve our safety performance by 30% a year and to achieve a maximum rate of absenteeism of 4.5%. Tata Steel implements a policy to find appropriate work for partially incapacitated employees.
